The Manager, Supply Chain works under the direction of the Director, Supply Chain, Purchasing & Customer Program Management as part of the Supply Chain team to support the organization. The role is expected to develop, maintain, manage and control a stable and competitive supply base on assigned commodities for LINAK U.S. manufacturing as well as work with and in support of the LINAK-Groups sourcing strategy.  The Supply Chain Manager will also work cross functionally with Existing Products, Supplier Quality, and R&D as needed on sourcing and continuous improvement projects.

Reports to: Director, Supply Chain, Purchasing, & Customer Program Management

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Purchasing, Sourcing, Buying, and inbound logistics teams in accordance to agreed targets and processes
  • Develop and manage the team in a way to improve competencies and to establish and maintain a motivating and open working environment, with high efficiency, quality, and morale.
  • Work with EMS, Local manufacturing and global manufacturing sites on ramp-up/down plans on existing & new products
  • Own and lead capacity development at suppliers in cooperation with Global Purchasing & Supply Chain teams
  • Ensure Corporate Purchasing agreements are followed and implemented properly
    Develop North American supply chain together with Existing Products and Supplier
  • Quality.
    Evaluate and approve suppliers based on LINAK standards together with Supplier Quality.
  • Source and negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from suppliers, for the benefit of the LINAK Group and in coordination with LINAK A/S
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, quotes, and services to determine most desirable suppliers
  • Responsible for establishing and managing Supplier Agreements including Supplier
  • Volume Purchase Agreements, Quality Agreements, and Vendor Report Card.
  • Responsible for stock levels, turnover rates, safety stock, Supply Chain S,Q,D,C,P/M (daily business), KPI responsibility, C.I. responsibilities
  • Responsible for Supplier Management and Control on assigned suppliers
  • Responsible for supplier performance on assigned suppliers
  • Responsible for defined goals of cost reduction on defined suppliers.
  • Responsible for supplier performance including on time delivery.
  • Lead or participate in new development projects
  • Lead or participate in cost reduction projects
  • Responsible for sending Specialist Change documentation to assigned suppliers
  • Coordinate with LINAK A/S on purchasing issues to strengthen the LINAK Group’s overall market position.
  • Lead or participate in PDP, department, continuous improvement, transfer projects, etc. as assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management.

The Manager, Supply Chain will work independently and in the support of the Director, Supply Chain, Purchasing, & Customer Program Mgmt. and must be capable of performing the techniques and tasks assigned in a professional, responsible, and efficient manner.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a supply chain professional
