On Wednesday at 09:00 a.m. LINAK CEO Bent Jensen, LINAK Slovakia Managing Director Juraj Hórvath, and local Mayor František Novotny cut the ribbon and thereby officially opened a whole new section of the Župčany-based LINAK facility.
Adding another 3,900 m2 (42,000 ft2) to the existing 5,100 m2 (55,000 ft2) of factory floor space, the new building will not only ensure local employment in Prešov. It will also allow the Danish actuator manufacturer to keep up with growing market demands well into the future.

Celebrating with employees and city council officials
The factory, specializing in manufacturing modern electric dual actuators for comfort furniture, currently employees around 250 people. They were all invited to the grand opening along with members of the local city council.
In addition, several members of the LINAK Group board of directors attended the event, where a range of artists entertained the party with music and local folklore.
Continuous extension of production automation
Robots were introduced long ago into LINAK production. However, the development towards an even higher degree of automation continues, including at the Prešov factory. This enables LINAK Slovakia to manufacture more than three million units annually in a uniform and high quality, accommodating a market that just keeps on growing.
Despite the increasing number of robots, LINAK Slovakia will continue to extend the workforce accordingly.
