Provides leadership and manages material handling, throughput and inventory movement through the Warehouse Team incl. Team Leads and Warehouse Assocs.

Ensures high Productivity and Inventory accuracy in processes and works to achieve all dept/Plant-wide logistics KPI goals and objectives as well as adhering to the LINAK Production System (LPS) and Internal Material Flow Manual. Provides training, coaching, counseling, corrective action and direction to develop subordinates.

Major Responsibilities

  • Supervises Team Leads and Warehouse Associates in the following areas of Operation:
    assigning team members daily responsibilities and coordinating position rotations as well as backup plans for absenteeism
    • Receiving / Putaway of Raw Materials
    • Warehouse Stores management / Optimization
    • Picking
    • Production Cell replenishment including route management
    • Accurate Inventory Transactions
    • Finished Goods Inventory stores / Shipping and Distribution
    • Customer Order processing / administration
    • Small Parcel shipment processing
  • Ensure warehouse is properly organized / kept in good order daily to meet 6S principles
  • Responsible for care / maintenance of warehouse equipment
  • Responsible for training Warehouse employees on all powered material handling equipment
  • Ensure the safe / proper operation of material handling equipment
  • Ensure safe conditions of all work areas are maintained
  • Establish / maintain systems and procedures across department lines to ensure correct system inventory balances. Research inventory discrepancies and work with Inventory Specialists to determine root cause and corrective action of systemic errors
  • Establish, implement, maintain and improve warehouse and internal material flow logistics related systems and procedures. Obtain a thorough understanding of the AXAPTA System basics including material movement, transfers and inventory transactions via the RF scanners
  • Manage hiring, promoting, employee evaluations, disciplining / corrective action and termination of employees
  • Monitor time and attendance system for employees, approve time cards and time off requests
  • Cross-train Team Members and maintain training matrix to meet all ISO training requirements
  • Monitor any delays or missed shipments that impact external customers and communicate to CRC’s
  • Monitor / maintain outbound customer order shipment accuracy and implement corrective actions for errors
  • Audit Shipping documents / processes / product / BOL’s / labels etc for accuracy
  • Ensure all material handling productivity goals are met hrough efficient use of resources
  • Ensure timely shipments and receipt of PO’s are completed on-time
  • Lead, promote and participate in Continuous Improvement / Lean activities within area of responsibility including:
    • Department Improvement Teams
    • Steering Committee Improvement Teams
    • PLAN-DO-CHECK-ACT principles
    • C4 Idea System
    • Root Cause / Corrective Action
    • Update Logistics Comm Board Metrics & Charts
    • Drive daily continuous improvements

The Warehouse Supervisor will work under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and in support of the Logistics Department. Must be capable of performing in a responsible and efficient manner the techniques and tasks that are assigned.   Requirements include:

  • A H.S. diploma or GED plus 7–9 years’ experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, Production, Materials management or Supply Chain is required with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in supervisory role.  
  • An Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management with a minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience 
  • Previous warehouse supervisory experience in a production environment is strongly preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in a Lean / Six Sigma Process management environment is preferred.
  • Warehouse Supervisor must uphold and demonstrate LINAK values as a Leader within the LINAK U.S. organization
